GRAVURE CYLINDER PLATING.

The Gravure engraving process all starts with copper plating. MCP accommodates a diverse size range of cylinders from 2” to 72” face, (overall length 84”), and 12” to 45” circumference. Integral shafted and mandrel sleeves, steel or plastic bases are handled with the same care and precision.

The controls on our process are exacting. From the filtered turn over of our solutions to the amp hour dosing of hardness additives to the constant temperature and the high speed attained by a 7/8 submersion of K. Walter plating tanks, our copper is excellent in every measurable way and is the most important measurement of all in the consistency of the engraved cylinder. Without consistency it is impossible to produce the highest of quality engravings.
