Ink Jets:

Crystal stimulated, glass capillaries,: one for each process color- cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.

Ink Pumps:

Single piston-type, stepper motor activated, low controlled to within 1% of optimum flow rate.

Inks:

IRIS-approved, water soluble, nontoxic dyes in four process colors.

Color Shades:

Up to 32 gray levels per color per individual pixel. Up to 512 possible shades of gray using 4 by 4 pixel IRIS color lookup table capability.

Resolution:

Current available: horizontal and vertical addressable resolutions of 200, 240 and 300 dots per inch (8, 10 or 12 pixels per millimeter).

Print Sizes:

Variable from 8.5 by 11 inches (21.5 x 27.9 cm) minimum sheet size to 34" by 46.81" maximum sheet size.

Print Speed:

At optimum drum speed, an image can be produced at a rate of about .75"/min along the drum axis.

Paper Type:

Various types and weights, coated or uncoated; newsprint, acetate, and more.
